A scientific national museum design project within the framework of the Egyptian state’s

plan to pay attention to the development of areas of a special nature within the comprehensive development plans for society and interest in the cultural field to educate successive generations culturally in various fields The aim of the project is to advance the cultural and educational aspects within the framework of an innovative design while

Taking into account the architectural, constructional and aesthetic standards.

Choosing the type of museum, which is a museum of space and astronomy, and it was rooted in the ancient Egyptian civilization and as a succession of what they achieved in the field of astronomy and to be a starting point for anew in the field of space. As the ancient Egyptians were among the first to be interested in astronomy, and they had many discoveries in this field.

The project site was carefully selected based on analytical studies to choose the most appropriate site to match the type of exhibits. Helwan was chosen as it is one of the oldest cities in Africa and the Middle East in the field of astronomical observation and it has an Astronomical Research Institute


The design idea is taken from the dynamics of the dominant movement in space, which is the rotation of space models around each other around the most attractive, such as the movement of moons around the planets, the movement of planets around the sun, the movement of the arms of galaxies around them and the galaxies around each other, and the rotation of space objects and stars in the event horizon before It entered the black hole, and the idea was processed and embodied in two blocks, one of them revolving around the other, and the idea was embodied in the movement paths inside the museum -
