I am Ar Rinka from Mumbai, India with over 10 years of work experience and 3 years of teaching experience in the field. Initial years of my practice has been very intense as they were in two large Structural Engineering and Architectural Design firms wherein I had the opportunity to work on large scale institutional projects along with Design Development for two major Airport Projects at Sheba, Libya and Tripoli, Libya.
Following such a great experience, I joined my husband's growing architectural firm @sdmarchitects and practised align with him for nearly 10 years. The work spanned from luxury homes, to pre-school, to interiors to institutional. Once the firm progressed at a much faster rate with focus into large scale institutional and industrial projects, I decided to begin a new initiative which is more focused in Urban Design / Public Projects. The firm @atelierarbo was formed in 2019 (just a year old), and we have been fortunate enough to work on 9 urban interventions in the city of Mumbai along with local governing bodies. In-addition to the same the firm also deals in Apartment Building Designs, High Rises and residential bungalow projects. Our sincere drive and passion is towards making a change in the city with one project at a time. The effects will be good for the people of the city (Mumbai) and also to assist local governing bodies to make better design decisions. Our endeavor is to bridge the gap for common man and their needs for public open spaces along with governing organizations.
For our architectural design projects, we like to work with different materials and technology to explore the best results to reduce our carbon footprint.
