Maishaa Introduces 4 New Furnishing Brands in India

Luxury home furnishings brand, Maishaa, known for producing superior quality fabrics with unique designs, great finesse and texture, has entered into an agency agreement with four new European brands namely – Rubelli, ILIV, Casal and Lincrusta.

Having gained in-depth knowledge of the Indian home textile industry, Maishaa apart from its own in-house label into Furnishings, Bed Linen and Bath is now housing furnishing fabrics and wall coverings from these prominent brands along with the existing roster of Clarke & Clarke, Manuel Revert and Nya Nordiska.

ILIV: Since establishing its own in-house design studio in 1990 SMD has continued to grow to be a market leader in designer fabrics. Launched in 2013, ILIV, has become the UK’s fastest growing “Premium” Interior Fabric Brand which is equally focussed on high performance “contract” textiles for commercial projects as it is on beautiful fabrics for residential homes. Increasingly the fabrics are interchangeable for any interior. All operations are managed from the companies HQ in Preston.

Rubelli: Rubelli, the Venetian family-run company now in its fifth generation, has been creating, producing and selling furnishing products, in particular fabrics, for residential and contract use since 1889. Rubelli is emblematic of the extraordinary expertise of Italian fabric designers, and the company represents one of the most important names on the international interior design scene. With the availability of an in-house design studio and its own production unit, Rubelli can design and produce, alongside its own collection, also custom fabrics based on special requests and patterns and types specified by the client.

Casal: Since the 50s, the company has specialised in the production of furnishing and decoration fabrics and upholstery textile and the name Casal quickly won over decorating professionals, thanks to its rich heritage, the variety of its offer and its impeccable service. From generation to generation, Casal remains a reference in French furnishing and decoration textiles and develops its offer by exploring the most diverse styles. The company attracts an increasingly international audience with its creativity, presenting each year a kaleidoscope of designs and a complete palette of "basic essentials" for upholstery professionals.

Lincrusta: Established over 145 years ago in Britain, Lincrusta’s absolutely unique and exceptionally beautiful wallcoverings have impressed the world with their deep emboss, exquisite detail and enduring strength. From classic country residences to modern urban living spaces, this incomparable range of wallcoverings, dado panels, friezes and borders allows for the creation of bespoke interiors. With its rich and illustrious heritage, Lincrusta is a great British success story. These sculptural wallcoverings were the ingenious creation of Frederick Walton who had pioneered the development of linoleum floor coverings during the 1860’s. A natural product, made from Linseed oil, Lincrusta is still manufactured by craftsmen in the UK, using the original recipe and process which is supplied in its natural nude colour, providing a textural blank canvas onto which the interior designer can create a truly unique look.
